IT WORKSI liked the weight of the extended scope and it picked up anything magnetic including magnetic rocksmagnet is to weakNice and strongI used the magnet to retrieve some metal objects from a hard to reach place behind some cabinets.This product not only showed how strong even a smaller magnet can be but it was really light weight. The only thing “wrong” with this item was it was a little flimsy when fully extended but that was a given from the start. Over all great product and you should buy it!I have a couple of these and have given as gifts too. The handle is long and the magnet strong. I use it to find pins I drop when sewing and nails and screws when crafting. Just wave it across the floor slowly to grab dropped items.This is about what I would expect from a Harbor Freight style tool...Not COMPLETE garbage, but not remotely as advertised. Listing says lifts 30lbs which I assumed was being generous, but it couldn't even lift a 5lbs flat-edged barbell or a 2.5lbs hammer.Pretty much only suitable for picking up stray bolts and nails or finding lost metal bits that fall into grass or into/behind things.
