Although one needs to carefully measure the top diameter, this drain plug fit securely. The only modification necessary was my needing to gradually cut/trim each inner rubber point to improve/increase water flow + drainage. Then it was perfect. When you confirm that it works perfectly, buy an extra for the future because they last about 3-5 years...ALSO, (WITH DISPOSAL TURNED OFF!!), REMINDER TO REMOVE THE RUBBER DRAIN PLUG EVERY WEEK TO CLEAN THE ACCUMULATED GUNK ON THE UNDERSIDE TO ELIMINATE POSSIBLE BACTERIA, ETC., BUILDUP.
