I can not begin to recommend this tie down enough, we are super windy here, and it seems to pick the trash days to be the windiest so that you chase your "stuff" down the street. This is long enough, elastic and attaches perfectly to the back and to the front of the bin to keep the lid firmly down and the wind thwarted from blowing all of your refuse down the street and into neighbor's yards. My trash company is fine with me using these tie downs, some are not, so be aware that your trash haulers may not be able to accommodate tie downs since they only use mechanical arms. I made sure that when I choose my trash haulers they would accept tie downs so there would not be a wind blown trash event. These are highly recommended if you are in a windy locating with a trash hauler that will accept the use of tie downs on the lids of the bins.
