We really like this heavy duty strap for our garbage container as we have a lot of hungry raccoons in the neighborhood green space that love to come visit and rummage. We didn't want the bolt on type of straps because our refuse company owns the containers and we didn't feel comfortable drilling into them. This strap still keeps the lid locked down overnight when we put it out, and then we remove in the morning before we leave and the raccoons are done partying till the wee hours.These are really heavy duty and adjustable, so they work perfectly even for our recycling container that we tend to overfill. This keeps the lid on so the cardboard doesn't fly away on windy days/nights. We just remove when we hear the trucks coming through the neighborhood. Awesome little gadget and easier than drilling holes in the canisters since they are owned by the garbage company.
